CLIENT SELECTION
We convene in the summer to select clients we will work with for the upcoming school year. We generally work with 4-6 clients per year and make our selections based on a variety of factors. Here are some of our considerations when choosing clients. Once selected as a client, we will be requesting you to kindly complete a more detailed client intake form.

Although we’ve connected with clients from all over the country, working with companies in the Greater Los Angeles area helps optimize communication and in-person meetings.

+ How long are client engagements?
The typical engagement is approximately nine months, in coordination with the USC academic calendar. TMG signs on clients in August and spends the fall semester developing strategy and campaign ideas before moving into production season in early Spring and running the actual marketing campaigns in March or April. Client engagements generally wrap up by early May.
+ What is the typical result of a client engagement?
TMG operates like a traditional ad agency. Our goal is to make your marketing and branding better than it was before through an inventive marketing campaign. Whether that is through developing a more cohesive brand strategy, orchestrating a pop-up, creating several video assets for social media, or running a paid media campaign on Facebook, we work closely with you to determine your most important needs from a marketing perspective.
+ Are there any costs associated with being a TMG client?
TMG operates as a pro-bono marketing agency. However, the client is expected to cover production and execution costs related to the campaign, including but not limited to professional camera equipment, location booking, and paid social and digital advertising. Clients work closely with TMG to determine a campaign budget that aligns on both sides.
+ Why work with college students?
Not everyone is going to work at an agency. In addition to those who choose marketing and media careers, we’ve had alumni going into consulting, software engineering, film production, publicity, product design, and investment banking. This offers a diverse perspective most agencies cannot provide. We're also forward-thinkers and mold-breakers– biased towards innovation and embracing of change.
